Since 2007 I've taught TEFL reading classes focused on international relations. The classes have a continuing need for new material, which means I've read thousands of magazine, newspaper and internet articles over the last few years. Often I come across ones which, related to international relations or not, have made me think, "This would be a great illustration!"

I don't often need illustrations these days - at least not in the volume that I did when I was looking for the right ones every week. But, rather than click on to the next article, I thought it might help you if I listed some of them here. You won't find "1,001 Illustrations" but you will find a few drawn from current events, contemporary culture and everyday experiences. May they, in some small measure, be useful as you communicate the Way, the Truth and the Life.
